Our olive oil
Fresh, herbaceous, with a character of its own
Its origin and the way it is made give MURO a personality of its own, with an acidity of 0.3 per cent or less.
Our varieties
Cobrançosa, Verdeal Transmontana and Cordovil
Three olive varieties native to Trás-os-Montes grow side by side in our grove. Together they give MURO its character.
- 01
Cobrançosa
The emblem of Trás-os-Montes. It brings a green, herbaceous fruitiness with balanced bitterness and pungency.
- 02
Verdeal Transmontana
Ripens late and slowly. It adds fresh, green notes and roundness to the oil.
- 03
Cordovil
Rich in polyphenols. It gives structure, bite and a long finish.
The harvest
Picked early, for a richer range of flavours
In November, while the olives are still turning from green to purple, we shake them from the tree with a trunk shaker into a catching net, so the fruit never touches the ground. Within ten hours they are in the press. That is how the oil keeps its fresh, herbaceous aromas.

Nine hectares. One harvest. A limited number of bottles.
What the grove gives in a year is all there is. Each colheita is bottled on its own and never topped up. Once it is gone, the wait is for the next harvest.
